Over the past two years, Lilly has been working on a collection of work with her friend turned muse, who is also called Lily.

The project features a series of stills from a film never made. The collection of images portray Lily as a young woman demonstrating the experiences of isolation and anxiety in the modern world.

The frames heavily touch on the topic of feminism, with underlying narratives such as walking home after a night out, travelling alone, or taking a stroll through the woods at dusk. They illustrate the commonly felt fear amongst women of being exposed in potentially vulnerable situations, fuelled by a world still littered with male-on-female violence. As the working relationship between Lilly and her subject has progressed, the stills have developed beyond a point of capturing fear, and lead to scenes that often capture a powerful woman… or one to be feared herself.
